This Standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB/T 1703-2008 “Cycle inner tubes”. As compared with GB/T 1703-2008, the main technical changes are as follows. - DELETE references to GB/T 1702 and HG/T 2942 (SEE Chapter 2 of the 2008 version), ADD references to GB 1796.1 and GB 1796.2 (see Chapter 2); - For “Table 1 -- Other main properties of inner tubes”, ADD the item of elongation at break of inner tubes; For the adhesive strength test of rubber base valve and tube body, ADD Footnote a; MODIFY the specification classification description in the index column of machine test mileage (SEE 4.4.2, the 4.4.2 of the 2008 version); - ADD the measuring position and measuring method for inner tube inflating volume when detecting inner tube airtightness, and MODIFY the inflating volume of Category B inner tube (SEE 5.1.1, the 5.1.1 of the 2008 version); - ADD the tensile test method for elongation at break of inner tubes (SEE 5.2). This Standard was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of China National Technical Committee for Tyres and Rims Standardization (SAC/TC 19). Drafting organizations of this Standard. This Standard specifies the categories, requirements, test methods, and marking of inner tubes. This Standard is applicable to the model vulcanized inner tube which assembles cycle tyre. This Standard is not applicable to non-model vulcanized inner tube and the inner tube for tubular racing-car tyre.2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For the dated references, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document. For the undated references, the latest version (including all the amendments) are applicable to this document. GB/T 528 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of tensile stress-strain properties GB/T 1796.1 Tyre valves - Part 1.Tube clamp-in valves GB/T 1796.2 Tyre valves - Part 2.Rubber base valves3 Categories of inner tube
According to the different materials used to make inner tubes, inner tubes are divided into two categories.4 Requirements
4.1 Specification and dimension The specification and dimension of inner tubes shall conform to the accessory requirements of the corresponding cover tyre as specified in GB/T 7377. 4.3 Appearance quality The appearance of inner tubes shall be uniform in thickness and shape. There shall no flaws, cracks, bubbles, sponginess, impurities, and other defects which affect usability. 4.4 Properties 4.4.1 Airtightness Inner tubes shall have good airtightness; and shall pass the test of 5.1.5 Test methods
5.1 Airtightness 5.1.1 INFLATE the inner tube; after the perimeter of inner tube section opposite to the valve is approximately 120% of the double flat section width of the inner tube of Category A, and 130% of that of Category B, PLACE it at room temperature for 12 h. 5.2 Tensile test According to the provisions of GB/T 528, CARRY out the test. Test pieces. USE a Type 2 cutter, when measuring the elongation, in the non-joint part of inner tube, along the peripheral direction of the tube body, to take one test piece each (as shown in Figure 1.at 1, 2, 3, 4, AVOID the font and mould line position). 5.3 Joint tensile strength According to the provisions of GB/T 528, CARRY out the test. Test pieces. At the joint of inner tube, USE a Type 2 cutter, along the peripheral direction of tube body section, to uniformly sample not less than 3 test pieces. 5.4 Adhesive strength of rubber base valve and tube body On the two sides of inner tube valve, in the peripheral direction of tube body, at 10 mm away from the valve rubble base at one end, and at 100 mm away from the rubber base at the other end, CUT off test pieces. 5.5 Durability test After loading the inner tube into the corresponding cover tyre, according to the provisions of GB/T 9749, CONDUCT the test. After the test, according to the test method of 5.1, CARRY out airtightness test.6 Marking
Each inner tube shall have the following markings. ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
