Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard is GB/T 14858-1993 "black and white monitor general technical conditions" amendments.
This standard and GB/T 14858-1993 compared to the main changes are as follows.
a) the standard name to "black and white monitor universal norms";
b) in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 requirements of editorial changes;
c) increasing the preface;
d) Table 1 of Article 4 "image reproduction rate" Universal by "not less than 92%" to "not less than 95%";
e) Table 1 of Article 5, "center shift rate" to "concentric", "horizontal resolution" to "clarity";
f) Table 1 of Article 9 of the Universal "raster geometric distortion of not more than 3" to "≤2";
g) Table 1 of Article 16, "the DC component of the distortion channel is not more than 30" to "≤20";
h) Table 1 in the first 18 "large-area contrast" to "large-scale image contrast";
i) deleted 5.2 Table 1 of the original Article 12 of the "better than interlaced" and 13 "high anode voltage stability";
j) Remove the 5.3.10,5.3.11 "than interlaced" and "anode voltage stability" measuring method;
k) in FIG. 6 5.3.14 make changes.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for black and white monitor, test methods, quality assessment procedures, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
