This standard replaces GB/T 14348.1-1993 "double arc gear hob types and dimensions" and GB/T 14348.2-1993 "double round
Arc gear hob technical conditions. "
14348.2-1993 major changes compared to the present standard and GB/T 14348.1 ~ as follows.
--- Canceled the B-level precision;
--- Canceled modulus greater than 10mm Hob accuracy requirements;
--- Cylindrical radial runout measured by the length of a turn to the full-length;
--- Modify the material provisions;
--- Removed the material microstructure and carbide uniformity provisions;
--- Abolition of the "performance test" chapter.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the double arc gear hob basic types and dimensions, technical requirements, marking and packaging the basic requirements.
This standard applies to normal module 1.5mm ~ 10mm overall double arc gear hob.
Manufactured according to the standards used in the manufacture of basic hob tooth profile in line with the double circular cylindrical gear GB/T 12759 requirements.

3 type and size
3.1 Hob type and size should meet the requirements of Figure 1 and Table 1.
3.2 Hob made before the zero angle, the first single, right-handed, the chip grooves are straight grooves parallel to its axis. According to user requirements, the hob can be made left-handed.
3.3 Hob-axis table diameter is determined by the manufacturer, its size as much as possible get bigger.
Keyway dimensions and tolerances shall comply with hob 3.4 GB/T 6132's.
3.5 Calculation of the size of the hob should comply with the provisions of Appendix A, hob axial tooth should meet the requirements in Appendix B.
Tooth thickness of 3.6 Theory at the initial point of contact should meet the requirements in Appendix B.
