This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document supersedes GB/T 12233-2006 "General Valves - Iron Gate Valves and Lift Check Valves", and is consistent with GB/T 12233-2006.
In comparison, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2006 edition);
b) The parameter has been removed (see 3.3 in the.2006 version);
c) Working conditions have been removed (see 4.2 in the.2006 edition);
d) The length of the internal threaded connection structure has been changed (see Table 1,.2006 edition);
e) The minimum wall thickness requirements for the valve body and bonnet have been changed (see Table 2,.2006 edition);
f) The minimum valve stem diameter requirement has been changed (see 5.8.1, 4.6.1 in the.2006 edition);
g) Added valve stem forming requirements (see 5.8.5);
h) The requirements for the packing material have been changed (see 5.9, 4.7 of the.2006 edition);
i) The requirement for leakage of lift check valves has been removed (see 4.12.1 in the.2006 edition);
j) The requirements for the static pressure life cycles of the shut-off valve have been changed (see Table 4, Table 5 in the.2006 edition);
k) Additional test method requirements for minimum wall thickness and appearance have been added (see 6.5, 6.6);

1 Scope
This document specifies the structural types, model designations, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for iron gate valves and lift check valves.
Markings, labels and accompanying documents, as well as packaging, transportation and storage.
This document applies to internal containers with a nominal pressure not exceeding PN16, nominal size DN15~DN200, and applicable medium temperature not exceeding.200℃.
Design, production and inspection of iron gate valves and lift check valves with threaded and flanged connections.
