Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2005 edition);
b) The requirements for shell wall thickness have been changed (see Table 1,.2005 edition);
c) The requirements for the gate have been changed (see 5.4, 4.5.4 in the.2005 edition);
d) The minimum diameter requirement for the valve stem has been changed (see Table 2, Table 3 in the.2005 edition);
e) The requirements for the packing material have been changed (see 5.6, 4.7 of the.2005 edition);
f) Added requirements for the installation direction, operation, lifting rings, and foundation of gate valves (see 5.11, 5.13);
g) The requirement for internal cavity cleanliness has been removed (see 4.12 in the.2005 edition);
h) The maximum opening height requirement for gate valves has been removed (see Table 4 in the.2005 edition);
i) Increased requirements for the sealing leakage level of the sealing pair (see 5.14.2);

1 Scope
This document specifies the structural type, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, and supply requirements for flanged iron gate valves.
This document applies to flange connections made of gray cast iron and ductile iron with nominal pressure PN2.5~PN25 and nominal size DN50~DN2000.
