Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document supersedes GB.20073-2018 "Requirements and Test Methods for Braking Performance of Motorcycles and Mopeds", and is consistent with GB.20073-
Compared to.2018, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope has been changed, and scopes that are no longer applicable have been added (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2018 edition);
b) The standard upon which the vehicle definition is based has been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2018 edition);
c) Added the terms "Actuation", "Brake Signal", "Electric Regenerative Braking System", "Automatic Control Braking", "Safety Concept", and "Electronic Control".
"System", "Composite Electronic Vehicle Control System", "Unit" and their definitions (see Chapter 3);
d) The specific requirements for brake system installation have been changed (see 4.3.5, 4.3.2 in the.2018 version);
e) The electromagnetic compatibility requirements for braking systems have been changed (see 4.3.6, B.1.3 of the.2018 edition);
f) The requirements for signaling devices have been changed (see 4.5,.2018 edition of 4.5);
g) Added requirements for emergency braking signals (see 4.6);
h) The requirement to shut down the anti-lock braking system has been added (see 4.7);
i) The requirement for brake light illumination has been added (see 4.8);
j) Requirements for composite electronic control systems have been added (see 4.9);
k) The requirements for ambient temperature during testing have been changed (see 5.1.2.1,.2018 version of 5.1.2.1);
l) The requirement for determining the same type has been added (see Chapter 6);
m) The scope of application of the testing and performance requirements for anti-lock braking systems has been changed (see B.1.2,.2018 version of B.1.2);
n) The requirement for driver-selectable anti-lock braking system modes has been added (see B.1.4);
o) The braking performance requirements after an electrical fault in the anti-lock braking system have been changed (see B.8.2,.2018 version of B.8.2);
p) Special requirements have been added regarding the safety of composite electronic vehicle control systems (see Appendix F).

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 5359.1 and GB/T 5359.4, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.
3.1
Brake system
A combination of components that gradually slows down or stops a moving vehicle, or keeps a stopped vehicle stationary.
Note. The braking system consists of a controller, a power transmission device, and a brake, but does not include the engine.
3.2
controller
A component directly operated by the driver to provide the energy required for braking or control to the power transmission device.
3.3
Transmission device
A combination of components positioned between the controller and the brake, enabling the two to function together.
3.4
brake
The component in the braking system that generates the force that resists the movement of the vehicle.
3.5
Service Brake System
A braking system that slows down a moving vehicle.
