1 Scope
This document specifies the equipment, ambient temperature requirements, operating procedures and precautions for the forensic science flat footprint gelatin film extraction method.
This file is suitable for extracting dust, sweat, water stains and blood footprints after chemical treatment on flat, curved and irregular surface objects.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

gelatin lifter
It is composed of a gelatin layer, a white rubber base layer, and a transparent polyester protective film layer. The film layer is a soft sheet-like material that can be peeled off.
Note. Gelatin sheet is a composite material, which can be divided into black gelatin sheet, white gelatin sheet, transparent gelatin sheet, etc. according to color.
4 Principle
The low viscosity of gelatin film can effectively pick up barefoot footprints, dust shoe prints, and trace biological evidence.
