3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
An instrument that uses capillary electrophoresis separation and laser-induced fluorescence detection technology to analyze DNA fragments and sequences.
Note. According to the number of capillaries used, it is generally divided into single-channel and multi-channel.
3.2
short tandem repeat; STR
A type of DNA sequence with length polymorphism that exists in human genomic DNA.
Note. The core sequence is generally composed of 2 to 6 bases, and there are differences between individuals due to the different numbers of core sequence repetitions.
