1 Scope

This document establishes the environmental safety assessment process for on-site investigation of fire-related cases, and stipulates the stages of identification and assessment of environmental factors/hazard sources. The operating instructions describe the evaluation methods such as questioning, recording, and instrument testing. This document is applicable to the identification of general environmental factors/hazard sources by on-site investigators during on-site investigations of fire-related cases in the field of forensic science.
