3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GA/T 144 apply to this document.

Oil Red O OilRedO
Molecular formula is C26H24N4O, red powder, is a kind of fat dye.
4 Appearance principle
The oil red O solution can react with the oil in the fingerprint material, and the oil red O molecules in the solution enter into the fat components in the fingerprint to make the fat
The fat is colored, thus showing the red handprint lines. Due to the dissolution and diffusion of the water-soluble fingerprint material, the oil in the fingerprint material still remains
It can maintain its morphological distribution, so oil red O can be used to show grease fingerprints.
