This document replaces YY/T 1011-2014 "Nominal Diameter and Designation of Dental Rotary Instruments", compared with YY/T 1011-2014
The technical differences are as follows.
--- Added the description of the scope of application (see Chapter 1);
--- Added normative references (see Chapter 2);
--- Added general references to GB/T 9937 terms (see Chapter 3);
--- Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3).
This document uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 2157.2016 "Nominal diameter and designation of dental rotary instruments". this document
The technical differences from ISO 2157.2016 and the reasons are as follows.
Regarding the normative reference documents, this document has made adjustments with technical differences to adapt to the technical conditions of our country.
Centrally reflected in Chapter 2 "Normative References", the specific adjustments are as follows.
--- Replace ISO 3 with GB/T 321 which is equivalent to adopting international standards;
--- Replace ISO 1942 with GB/T 9937 which is modified to adopt international standards;
--- Replacing ISO 3630-1 with YY/T 0803.1 which has been modified to adopt international standards.

The designations corresponding to these diameters are also listed. These designators list these diameters as 3-digit numbers, in tenths of a millimeter

1 Scope
This document specifies the nominal diameters of the working parts of dental rotary instruments and the corresponding designations.
This document applies to the selection of nominal diameters and designations of dental rotary instruments.
Nominal diameters of endodontic instruments and scaler tips are not specified in this document.

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard replaces YY 91011-1999.
The previous version of this standard specified nominal diameter range is 0.5mm ~ 30mm, is preserved in this revision. However,
2.5mm ~ 10mm within range, but also to add some GB/T 321 standard R20 series corresponding supplement diameter. Recommended
