1 Scope

This section YS/T 807 specifies the method for determination of aluminum alloy with boron content. This section applies to the determination of aluminum alloy with boron content. Measurement range. from 5.00% to 10.00%.

2 Method summary

Samples with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid - phosphoric acid mixture is dissolved with hydrofluoric acid in a sample of boron trifluoride to make into fluoroborate ion, hydroxide Sodium hydroxide solution to adjust the pH value of 5 to 6, the electrode determination of boron content selecting fluoroborate ion.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only the gifted class pure reagents and sub-boiling distilled water or potassium. 3.1 potassium chloride, pure class distinctions. 3.2 Agar. 3.3 Hydrofluoric acid (ρ = 1.14g/mL). 3.4 phosphoric acid (ρ = 1.69g/mL). 3.5 nitric acid (11). 3.6 hydrochloride (11). 3.7 sulfate (11). 3.8 Sodium hydroxide solution (200g/L), stored in a polyethylene bottle. 3.9 sulfuric acid - phosphoric acid mixed solution. 25mL was added phosphoric acid (3.4) and 25mL sulfuric acid (3.7) in 100mL flask, add water to about 90mL, mix, cooled, diluted with water to volume, and mix. 3.10 boron standard stock solution (1.0mg/mL). Weigh 2.8597g was dried in a vacuum dryer boronic acid (excellent pure) to 400mL beaker, add 200mL water, slightly hot and completely dissolved, cooled to room temperature and transferred to 500mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water Degree of mixing, stored in polyethylene bottles. This solution 1mL containing 1.0mg boron. 3.11 boron standard solution (0.20mg/mL). Pipette 20.00mL boron standard stock solution (3.10) in 100mL flask with water Dilute to volume, mix and stored in polyethylene bottles. This solution 1mL containing 0.20mg boron. 3.12 boron standard solution (0.15mg/mL).
