Foreword
The Standard is a modified "on threading machine cutting brass rods, bars and profiles," the United States and the United States ASTM ASTMB16-2005

Compared with this standard YS/T 551-2006, the main amended as follows.
--- Increased HPb59-3, HPb60-2, HPb62-3, HSb60-0.9, HSb61-0.8-0.5, HBi60-1.3, QSn4-4-4,
QTe0.5, QS0.4 grades. Antimony brass HSb60-0.9, HSb61-0.8-0.5 bismuth and lead-free brass HBi60-1.3
brass;
--- Deleted H62 grade;
--- BARS specifications and tolerances were adjusted, and increases the Moment (square), the relevant provisions of hexagonal rod;
--- On the rod length or double length tolerances were adjusted and increased sawing segment saw volume requirements;
--- Rods for straightness, roundness and not length length adjustment;
--- For the moment (square) shape, hexagonal bars fillet radius of the corresponding provisions;
--- Increasing the amount of rod ends cut oblique, twisted and screwed in degree chamfer;
--- Remove the surface roughness of the provisions;
--- Increasing the cutting detection methods;
--- Increasing the bar ultrasonic flaw detection test, resistance to dezincification corrosion testing requirements;
--- Non-hazardous according to international environmental protection requirements, in order to increase the content of the contract whether the hazardous mark provisions.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the CNC lathe copper alloy rod requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and orders
(Or contract) content.
This standard applies to all industrial sectors with a high-speed high-precision CNC lathes and machining circular, rectangular (square) shape, hexagonal copper alloy rod.
