1 Scope

YS/T 539 This part specifies the method for determination of nickel-base alloy powder of copper content. This section applies to the determination of nickel base alloy powder copper content, measuring range. 1% to 5%.

2 Method summary

Sample by mixed acid dissolved. In sulfuric acid, copper and copper sulfide precipitate sodium thiosulfate, iron, chromium, manganese and other elements of interference points from. The pellet burning into copper oxide with molten potassium pyrophosphate, potassium iodide in acetic acid medium, liberated iodine with starch as indicator Standard solution titrated with sodium thiosulfate.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity. 3.1 potassium pyrosulfate. 3.2 potassium iodide. 3.3 ammonium fluoride. 3.4 hydrochloride (ρ1.19g/mL). Nitrate 3.5 (ρ1.42g/mL). 3.6 sulfate (ρ1.84g/mL). 3.7 phosphoric acid (ρ1.69g/mL). 3.8 Glacial acetic acid (ρ1.05g/mL). 3.9 sulfate (1 + 1). 3.10 sodium thiosulfate solution (500g/L). 3.11 ammonia (1 + 1). 3.12 ammonium thiocyanate solution (200g/L). 3.13 starch solution (10g/L). Weigh 1g of soluble starch and distilled water into a paste, poured into 80mL boiling water, boil until starch Full Ministry dissolved. After cooling dilute to 100mL, and mix. The time is now equipped with. 3.14 Copper Standard solution. Weigh 1.0000g copper (Cu > 99.99%), adding 20mL water, 10 mL of nitric acid (3.5), dissolved by heating, plus 10mL sulfuric acid (3.6), evaporate to take sulfuric smoke 1min, cool. Salts dissolved in water and transferred to 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water Degree, and mix. 1mL solution containing 1mg of copper. 3.15 sodium thiosulfate standard titration solution [Ba (Na2S2O3 · 5H2O) = 0.01mol/L] 3.15.1 preparation. Weigh 2.48g of sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3 · 5H2O) and dissolved in boiling distilled water cooling, add 0.2g of anhydrous Sodium carbonate, dissolved completely cooled and diluted with boiling distilled water to 1000mL, and mix. Store in a brown bottle, placed 8d ~ 14d After calibration use. 3.15.2 Calibration. Pipette 20.00mL copper standard solution (3.14) three, were placed in three 300mL conical flask, add 30mL water, Dropping ammonia (3.11) until the solution is blue, then drop the blue ice disappear and excess acid 2mL, add 3g of potassium iodide, mix, dark place Set 2min, titration with sodium thiosulfate standard solution (3.15) titration until the solution was light yellow, add 5mL starch solution (3.13), 10mL sulfur
