1 Scope

YS/T 539 This part specifies the method for determination of nickel-base alloy powder of cobalt content. This section applies to the determination of nickel base alloy powder in an amount of cobalt, measurement range. 0.1% to 3%.

2 Method summary

Sample was dissolved in a mixed acid, citric acid, ammonium, sodium nitrite in the presence of, at pH 5.5 to 7.5, Co (Ⅱ) is oxidized to Co (Ⅲ), and nitroso -R red complex salt formation, measured at 530nm wavelength spectrophotometer absorbance.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity. 3.1 hydrochloride (ρ1.19g/mL). Nitrate 3.2 (ρ1.42g/mL). 3.3 Hydrofluoric acid (ρ1.15g/mL). 3.4 sulfate (1 + 1). 3.5 sulfuric acid - phosphoric acid mixture. A 150mL sulfuric acid (ρ1.84g/mL) with stirring injection 700mL water, then add 150mL phosphate (Ρ1.69g/mL), and mix. 3.6 ammonia ammonium citrate solution (250g/L). Weigh 62.5g ammonium citrate in 400mL beaker, add 200mL water dissolved, add 5mL ammonia (ρ0.90g/mL), diluted with water to 250mL, and mix. 3.7 sodium nitrite solution (5g/L). 3.8 nitroso -R salt (1-nitroso - 2 - naphthol-3,6-sodium) solution (5g/L), the time is now equipped with. 3.9 cobalt standard stock solution.
