Nickel-based alloy powder chemical analysis
Part 3. Determination of the amount of silicon
Perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method
1 Scope
YS/T 539 This part specifies the method for determination of nickel-base alloy powder silicon content.
This section applies to the determination of nickel-base alloy powder of silicon content in the measurement range. 0.5% to 6%.
2 Method summary
Sample acidified by alkali fusion (or acid dissolution), the perchloric acid dehydration smoke silicic acid, filtered, washed, burning into the silicon dioxide with sulfuric acid -
Hydrofluoric acid treatment, the silicon generate volatile silicon tetrafluoride is removed, except by the poor quality of the silicon before and after the calculation of the mass fraction of silicon.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.
3.1 sodium peroxide.
3.2 hydrochloride (ρ1.19g/mL).
3.3 perchloric acid (ρ1.67g/mL).
Nitrate 3.4 (ρ1.42g/mL).
3.5 Hydrofluoric acid (ρ1.15g/mL).
3.6 hydrochloric acid (1 + 19).
3.7 sulfate (1 + 1).
3.8 ammonium thiocyanate solution (50g/L).
3.9 methanol.
Step 4 Analysis
4.1 Sample
Weigh 0.50g ~ 1.00g sample, accurate to 0.0001g.
4.2 Determination of the number of
Independently measured twice and averaged.
4.3 blank test
Along with sample blank test.
4.4 Determination
4.4.1 Sample Decomposition
4.4.1.1 nitric acid can be dissolved in hydrochloric acid and sample
The sample (4.1) in 400mL beaker, add 30mL of hydrochloric acid (3.2), 4mL nitric acid (3.4) to dissolve the sample was heated to a low temperature, concentrated
Reduced to a volume of about 10mL, add 40mL of methanol (3.9), the surface of the pan is removed leaving a little gap, low temperature slowly evaporated to 10mL or less, plus
5mL nitric acid (3.4), 25mL of perchloric acid (3.3), heated and evaporated to smoke, continue heating perchloric acid reflux smoke 15min ~ 20min.
