3 Method summary
Sodium carbonate and boric acid sample with molten mixture, acidified, fractionated test solution adjusted to a pH of 0.85 to 0.90, the formation of silicon molybdate yellow
Color silicon molybdenum heteropoly acid, sulfuric acid medium and high acidity in the presence of tartaric acid, with a reducing agent to a silicon molybdenum blue at 815nm wavelength spectrophotometer
Measured absorbance.
4 Reagents
4.1 anhydrous sodium carbonate.
4.2 boric acid.
4.3 nitric acid solution (8mol/L).
4.4 Sodium molybdate solution (195g/L). Weigh 19.5g of sodium molybdate dihydrate cup set polytetrafluoroethylene, heated, dissolved in water, cooled and diluted to
100mL, and mix. This storage is a solution in a polyethylene bottle.
4.5 tartaric acid solution (100g/L). Weigh 10g of tartaric acid dissolved in water, dilute to 100mL mixing, the solution was stored in a polyethylene
Bottle.
4.6 sulfuric acid solution (8mol/L).
4.7 reducing solution. optionally following a solution.
4.7.1 1- amino-2-naphthol 4-sulfonic acid solution. Weigh 7g of anhydrous sodium sulfite was dissolved in 50mL water and adding ammonia 1.5g1-
4-sulfonic acid-2-naphthol. Another weighed 90g polyvinylidene sodium (NaS2O5) was dissolved in 900mL of water. The two solutions were mixed, diluted to 1L,
Mix well. The solution was stored in a brown bottle in a cool place.
4.7.2 ascorbic acid solution (20g/L), the use of the preparation.
4.8 silica standard stock solution. Weigh 0.5000g previously burning 1h at 1000 ℃, and the dryer to cool silica
(99.9%), placed in a platinum crucible. To crucible 5g of sodium carbonate (4.1) and mix with a platinum spoon, add 950 ℃ high temperature furnace carefully
Molten (about 10min), cooled, water was added, gently warmed until complete dissolution, cooling, the solution was carefully transferred to 1L volume, washed with water
Dilute to volume, mix, and immediately poured into a polyethylene bottle. This standard solution 1mL containing 0.500mg silica.
4.9 silica standard solution. Pipette 40.0mL silica standard stock solution (4.8), into 1000mL volumetric flask with water
Dilute to volume, and mix. The solution 1mL containing 0.020mg of silica, when formulated using.
