Part 4. Determination of trace element contents
Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry
1 Scope
This section YS/T 229 specifies the method for determination of trace elements in high purity lead content, the determination of elements in Table 1.
This section applies to the determination of trace elements in high purity lead content. Determination of the elements as follows. measurement range of sulfur and selenium for
100μg/kg ~ 5000μg/kg, the remaining elements of the measurement range of 1μg/kg ~ 5000μg/kg.
2 principle of the method
Sample as a cathode glow discharge, the surface atoms to be sputtered from the sample and enters the glow discharge plasma, the plasma
Ionized and then introduced into the mass spectrometer. In each element isotope mass number punishable by default scan points and the integration time of the peak corresponding plot
Min, the resulting area is the peak intensity. When semi-quantitative analysis, computer software instrument based on "typical relative sensitivity factor" Auto
Calculate the mass content of each element; when quantitative analysis is required by the sample in the same assay conditions, the structure of the ion source and measure
Under standard test conditions for independent samples was determined by the relative sensitivity factors, the application of the relative sensitivity factor to calculate the mass of each element
content.
3 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise indicated, the reagents used in the tests were excellent pure; the water used is deionized water, the resistivity required to achieve
18.2MΩ/cm.
3.1 Nitrogen (φ≥99.99%).
3.2 nitric acid (11).
3.3 lead standard samples, the measured element mass content of between 50μg/kg ~ 500μg/kg.
3.4 lead blank sample, the element content is less than the requirements of the test sample under test element content more than 10 times.
4 Instrument
4.1 high resolution glow discharge mass spectrometer, under the resolution mode resolution of up to 3000 to 4000, high-resolution mode resolution
Rate of up to 9,000 to 10,000.
4.2 machining equipment, the sample can be prepared as desired geometry (block or rod), the sample to be analyzed surface should be flat and smooth.
4.3 Determination of Isotopic and resolution shown in Table 1, the requirements of 208Pb isotope peak intensity spectrum measured is not less than 5 × 109cps, peak pictogram
Together resolution requirements.
