Unless otherwise stated, only reagents identified as analytical grade were used in the analysis. Water used was laboratory grade 3 water or water of comparable purity.
3.1 Hydrochloric acid (p = 1.19 g/mL).
3.2 Sulfuric acid (p = 1.84 g/mL).
3.3 Sulfuric acid (1 4).

3.5 Saturated sodium pyrophosphate solution Weigh 300g of sodium pyrophosphate in a 1000mL beaker and add 900mL of pure water. Use after 24h
3.6 manganese standard solution Weigh 1.0000g of metal manganese (w ≥ 99.95%) in 400mL beaker, add 20mL sulfuric acid (3.3), heated
