1 Scope
This standard specifies the method of ion chromatography for the determination of fluorine and chlorine in coal.

3 Method summary
A certain amount of coal is completely burned in an oxygen bomb filled with excess oxygen, and the released fluorine and chlorine are absorbed by the ammonium carbonate solution, and the oxygen bomb is rinsed with water.
Internally, the absorption liquid is completely transferred to the beaker, and after filtration and constant volume, the potassium hydroxide solution is used as the eluent, and the filtration is performed by ion chromatography external standard method.

4 reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, the reagents used in this standard are of analytical grade, and the test water is the first grade water specified in GB/T 6682.
4.1 anhydrous ammonium carbonate, excellent grade pure.
4.2 10 g/L ammonium carbonate [(NH4) 2CO3] solution. Weigh 5.0 g of ammonium carbonate dissolved in water to prepare a 500 mL solution.
4.3 Potassium hydroxide eluent, prepared according to the instrument manual or electrolytic eluent generator. See Appendix A for the eluent gradient.
4.4 Oxygen, purity above 99.5%, free of combustible materials.
4.5 Fluorine standard stock solution (1000μg/mL). Prepare according to GB/T 602 method or directly use the national certified standard solution.
4.6 Chlorine standard stock solution (1000μg/mL). Prepare according to GB/T 602 method or directly use the national certified standard solution.
4.7 Mixed standard working solution. According to the ion concentration in Table 1, prepare mixed standard working solution (also according to the ion concentration in the sample solution)
The range is adjusted appropriately, or directly diluted with water using a standard aqueous solution of a standard with a standard substance certificate.
