3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1 The pH measured by contacting the flat electrode of the pH meter with the surface of the textile wetted by deionized water.

4 Principle

At room temperature, a certain amount of deionized water is added to the surface of the textile to make it wet and permeable in the textile, with flat glass The pH meter of the electrode is such that the flat end of the electrode is in contact with the surface of the wetted textile and the pH of the textile is determined.

5 reagents

5.1 Deionized water. When the temperature is 20 °C ± 2 °C, the pH value is in the range of 5.0 to 7.0. 5.2 Buffer solution. The pH value should be close to the pH value of the sample to be tested. Before the measurement, it is used to calibrate the pH meter. The following solutions are available. a) 0.05mol/L potassium hydrogen phthalate solution (HOOC·C6H4COOK) pH=4.000 at 15 °C pH=4.001 at 20 °C pH=4.005 at 25°C pH=4.011 at 30 °C pH=4.020 at 35 °C pH = 4.030 at 40 ° C b) 0.05mol/L mixed phosphate (RPO4) pH = 7.04 at 15 ° C pH=7.02 at 20 °C pH=7.00 at 25°C pH = 6.99 at 30 ° C pH = 6.98 at 35 ° C pH = 6.97 at 40 ° C c) 0.05 mol/L sodium tetraborate solution (Na2B4O7·10H2O) pH = 9.33 at 15 ° C
