1 Scope

This standard specifies six phthalates in cosmetics. dimethyl phthalate (DMP), diethyl phthalate (DEP), phthalate Dibutyl formate (DBP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), phthalic acid A method for the determination of octyl ester (DOP) by gas chromatography. This standard applies to the inspection of six phthalates in solid, paste and liquid cosmetics.

2 Principle

Ultrasonic extraction of six phthalates in cosmetics, centrifugation, dehydration of the supernatant, filtration, and injection of the filtrate into the FID detector Gas chromatographic detection, external standard method quantification, confirmed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MSD).

5 Analysis steps
