1 Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, procedures, methods, results judgment and disposal of ballast water disinfection treatment for entry and exit vessels. This standard applies to the disinfection treatment of ballast water in ships entering and leaving the country.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 2.1 When necessary, the ship is required to ensure a certain draft or to adjust the hull balance so that the navigation can be safely and smoothly pumped into the cabin. 3.1 Disinfectants should be selected and approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. 3.2 When disinfecting with chlorine-containing disinfectant, the residual chlorine should be greater than 0.5mg/L. 3.3 Solid disinfectants should not be added directly from the measuring holes. 3.4 Pay attention to fire prevention when tanker ballast water is disinfected.
