1 Scope
This standard specifies the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) quarantine standards.
Virus isolation and identification This standard applies to porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus antigen in monitoring, detecting antibodies to the virus, the disease can be used
Quarantine, diagnosis and epidemiological investigation.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Culture monolayers inoculated PRRS virus or treated test sample, so that 30% to 50% of the cells infected by the organization and internal fixation
Source enzyme treatment, add a subject or a positive serum antibody treatment, plus anti-enzyme antibody, through a color reaction for detecting the presence of an antigen or antibody. in
PRRS was first used diagnostically to detect the antibodies.
3.2
Into slices or the smear samples after a fixed, plus antiserum treatment, together with a fluorescent labeled anti-antibody staining, rinsed, buffer solution of glycerol
After sealing with a cover slip load, detected by fluorescence microscopy. Detection antibody can be used for early diagnosis.
4 Disease Overview
Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (porcinereproductiveandrespiratorysyndrome, PRRS), also known as blue-ear disease
(Blue-earedDisease), is composed of porcine reproductive and respiratory virus (porcinereproductiveandrespiratorysyndrome syndrome
virus, PRRSV) causes reproductive failure in sows and piglets and finishing pigs characterized by breathing difficulties contagious disease. Reproductive disorders
Characterized in miscarriage, stillbirth and low earners yield, low earners since the respiratory disease and secondary infections often die soon; respiratory tract characterized piglets and breeding
Pigs breathing difficulties, older pigs may appear mild respiratory symptoms, sometimes leaving the complex disease due to secondary infection. Pathogen, popular
Epidemiology, diagnosis, and quarantine and diagnosis in Appendix A.
