Summary This standard specifies the design requirements for vertical cylindrical steel welded storage tanks in petrochemical industry. This standard applies to the design of fixed roof, external floating roof and internal floating roof storage tanks at normal pressure and near normal pressure for storing petroleum, petrochemical products and other similar liquids and the accessories specified in this standard. This standard does not apply to the design of buried tanks for storing extremely hazardous or highly hazardous liquid media and artificial refrigeration liquids.
