This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document replaces QC/T 272-1999 “Technical Specifications for Aluminum Alloy Castings for Automobiles”.
In addition to the integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope of application has been changed to explicitly exclude high-pressure castings (see Chapter 1 of the.1999 edition);
b) Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);
c) Added heat treatment state codes, alloy casting methods and modification treatment codes (see Chapter 4);
d) Added the classification of castings (see Chapter 5);
e) Added casting method and heat treatment state (see 6.1);
f) The chemical composition table has been deleted. The chemical composition table shall be in accordance with GB/T 1173 or relevant standards and technical agreements determined by the supplier and the buyer (see 6.2,.1999
Version 3.1);
g) The mechanical properties table has been deleted. The relevant standards and technical agreements specified in Appendix B or between the supplier and the purchaser shall apply (see 6.3,.1999 edition).

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection evaluation, marking and packaging of aluminum alloy castings for automobiles.
This document applies to sand and metal mold aluminum alloy castings for automobiles (excluding high-pressure castings).
