This standard was proposed by the Department of Market Economy and Information of the Ministry of Agriculture.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau.
This standard was drafted by the Feed Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture (Xi'an).

1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of feed grade potassium iodate.
This standard applies to feed grade potassium iodate produced by potassium chlorate oxidation. This product is added to the feed as a supplement to iodine.

3 requirements
3.1 Appearance and traits
This product is colorless or white crystalline powder, no odor, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
The pH of the aqueous sample solution (1+20) is 5.0 to 7.0.
