Summary: This standard specifies the principles, reagents and materials, equipment, sampling, instrument testing conditions, calibration, test procedures, calculation of results, quality assurance and control, precision and test reports for the determination of aromatics in white oil by ultraviolet spectrophotometry. This standard applies to light white oil and industrial white oil, and the content of alkylbenzene in the sample should be at least 10 times higher than that of the anthraquinone. The mass fraction of aromatics determined is 0.0004% to 10.5%. This standard can also be used for the determination of samples with aromatics content outside the above range, but the precision is not investigated.
