Hand-held hedge trimmer safety requirements and tests
1 Scope
This standard specifies a gasoline-powered, hand-operated hedge trimmer (hereinafter referred to as a hedge trimmer) designed and operated by a single person.
Structural safety technical requirements and test procedures.
This standard gives a method to eliminate or reduce the various hazards arising from the use of hedge trimmers, which are specified by the manufacturer.
Information requirements for safety practices. This standard gives all serious hazards, dangers and conditions associated with the normal use of hedge trimmers.
Event (see Chapter 4).
This standard applies to hedge trimmers with engine displacements below 80 cm3.
