This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces LY 1133-1993 "Safety Regulations for Aerial Cableways for Forests", and major technical changes compared with LY 1133-1993
as follows.
--- Change the standard name from "Safety Regulations for Aerial Cableway in Forests" to "Safety Regulations for the Use of Aerial Cableways in Forest Engineering";
--- The scope has been modified (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.1993 edition);
--- Revised the normative reference documents (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the.1993 edition);
--- Removed the composition and basic requirements of the aerial ropeway for forests (Chapters 3 and 4 of the.1993 edition);
--- Increased general safety requirements (see Chapter 3);
--- Removed the safety requirements for the design, erection and demolition of aerial ropeways in the original standard (1993 edition, second edition,
Three and six);
--- Consolidate, modify and supplement the content of the use safety requirements for the use, maintenance and management of the original standard (see Chapter 4, Section 5)

Safety regulations for the use of aerial ropeways for forestry engineering
1 Scope
This standard specifies the general safety requirements for forestry aerial tramways (hereinafter referred to as ropeways), the safety requirements for operations, and the safety requirements for inspection and maintenance.
Security requirements for seeking and management.
This standard is applicable to the safe use and management of cable cranes for ropeway and loading operations in forestry production.

3 General safety requirements
3.1 Before using the ropeway, confirm that the ropeway is designed to comply with LY/T 1056.
3.2 Before using the ropeway, confirm that the ropeway is erected in accordance with LY/T 1169.
3.3 The ropeway production team is well organized and special personnel are responsible for safety and production. All types of personnel should meet the following requirements.
a) The following knowledge should be available.
1) Knowledge of forest fire prevention;
2) Safety operation requirements;
3) Operating procedures and related requirements for aerial ropeways;
4) Marks, symbols and signals.
b) The operator of the winch should have visual acuity (including corrected visual acuity) of 1.0 or more, no color blindness, normal hearing, and can meet specific working conditions.
The required physical health personnel, after passing the training and assessment, are certified to work. The winch operator should have the following knowledge and
skill.
1) the composition and technical performance of the operated winch and aerial ropeway;
2) The composition and performance of the safety guard;
3) Maintenance and basic maintenance knowledge.
c) All kinds of personnel such as signallers, bundles, unloaders, blame and loading workers should be trained and qualified before they can be employed;
d) The division of labor and responsibility of all types of personnel are clear.
3.4 The working area along the ropeway should be clearly marked. Before the operation, it should be confirmed that the parts of the ropeway are properly installed and no staff members are staying.
3.5 When the ropeway crosses the forest roads and farmland, the horizontal safety distance of the ropeway work site should be marked with prominent signs on both sides to remind the vehicles and vehicles.
Pedestrians shall drive safely and shall ensure that the clearance height of the ropeway is not less than 4m.
