1 Scope
This section specifies the model designation, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of rulers for teaching experiments.

3 Model designation
3.1 Rulers are divided into two types of 1000 mm and 500 mm according to the maximum nominal length.
3.2 The naming rules are in accordance with the provisions of JY/T 0026-1991.
3.3 Model Nomenclature
The ruler model is named.

4 Requirements
4.1 Material
The ruler can be made of wood or plastic.
4.2 Dimensions
4.2.1 The end of the ruler shall have a free distance from the start and end points of the scale line.
4.2.2 The ruler width is 26 mm ± 1 mm, and the ruler thickness should be 8 mm ± 0.2 mm.
4.2.3 The ruler side of the ruler with a scale line shall be an inclined plane, the width of the inclined plane shall be 11 mm ± 0.2 mm, and the thickness of the edge of the inclined plane shall be 3
mm to 3.5 mm.
4.3 Graduation lines and numbers
4.3.1 Graduation lines shall be marked on the inclined surface of the ruler body. The minimum graduation is 1 mm, and the minimum graduation line is represented by a line with a length of 6 mm, every 5 mm

4.5.2 The flatness of the ruler surface and the straightness error of the ruler surface shall conform to Table 2.

4.5.3 The verticality error between the ruler end face and the ruler side shall not exceed 0.5 mm.
4.6 Material requirements and coatings
4.6.1 When using wood, it shall be made of logs, and each side of the ruler shall be coated with paint, and the content of harmful substances in the coating shall meet
The requirements of Chapter 4 of GB 24613. The moisture content of wood is 6.28 in JY/T 0001-2003.
4.6.2 When plastic is used, it should be made of non-brittle materials such as synthetic resin or engineering plastic.
4.7 Appearance and workmanship
4.7.1 The surface of the ruler shall be smooth, flat, and consistent in color. The wooden ruler should be evenly painted, flat and easy to clean, free of mildew, insect eyes, dead knots, trees
Fat paint (mingzi) should not have bumps, cracks, moths, scars, burrs, sharp edges, etc.
The surface of the plastic ruler should be smooth and clean, and there should be no obvious spots, scratches, and bubbles.
4.7.2 The front of the ruler shall be marked with the name or trademark of the manufacturer.
4.7.3 The rest shall meet the requirements of 6.26, 6.28, 7.6, 7.8 in JY/T 0001-2003.
4.8 Environmental test
4.8.1 When wood is used as the material, the humidity environment test shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements in Table 2 of 3.1 of JY/T 0213-1994.
4.8.2 When plastic is used as the material, the temperature environment test and tilt drop test shall be in accordance with the requirements in Table 2 of 3.1 of JY/T 0213-1994.
5 Test method
5.1 Indication error
Under the reference conditions stipulated by JY/T 0213-1994, the time for the indoor temperature of the ruler and the calibration tool to be in the room should not be less than 3 hours.
The test method shall be in accordance with 3.5 of JJG 2-1999 and shall comply with 4.5.1.
5.2 Ruler Shape Error
Measure the flatness of the ruler surface and the straightness of the ruler side with a level 3 level ruler, a level 2 feeler or a wooden ruler verifier, which shall comply with 4.5.2.
5.3 The perpendicularity of the ruler end surface and the ruler side surface
Use the long side of level 2 wide square ruler to be close to the side of the ruler, and use a level 2 feeler to check that the maximum gap between the end of the ruler and the short side of the wide square

5.4 Line width
Use a reading microscope with a division value of 0.01 mm to inspect at least 3 lines over the entire length, which should meet 4.3.1.
5.5 feet width, thickness, slope and figures
A vernier caliper with a division value of 0.02 mm and a steel ruler with a division value of 1 mm were tested.
5.6 Wood moisture content
Test with a wood hygrometer, the moisture content of the wood should comply with 4.6.1.
5.7 Coating harmful substance limit
Determination of the limit of harmful substances in coatings shall be performed in accordance with GB 24613-2009 Appendix A, B, C, D, E.
5.8 Appearance
On sensory inspection, it should meet 4.7.
5.9 Environmental test
According to JY/T 0213-1994 4.1 (temperature test), 4.2 (humidity test), 4.5 (tilt drop test).
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Inspection classification
Product inspection is divided into factory inspection, type inspection and quality supervision inspection.

6.3 Lot rules and sampling methods
6.3.1 The factory inspection shall be batched according to the natural batch of delivery, and the type inspection shall be batched according to the stock array.
6.3.2 When leaving the factory for inspection, inspect all the inspection items first, take samples from the qualified products of all inspection items, and inspect the items for sampling inspection.
6.3.3 The sampling method for factory inspection and type inspection is according to JY/T 0002.
6.4 Non-conformance determination
6.4.1 The failure criterion of a single sample is JY/T 0002.
6.4.2 The main technical indicators are No. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9 in Table 1.
6.5 Review rules
6.5.1 Unqualified batches and products can be submitted for inspection again after rework.
6.5.2 The re-inspection of sampling inspection items shall implement the transfer rules in accordance with Article 9 of GB/T 2828.1-2012.
Protocol, general inspection level III, AQL value is 2.5.
6.6 Quality supervision inspection
Refer to type inspection.
7 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage
7.1 The ruler body shall be marked with a special measuring instrument for teaching demonstration, see Figure 1.

7.2 It shall comply with Chapters 11 and 12 of JY/T 0001-2003.
