Verification Regulation of Mechanical Balance
1 Scope
This regulation applies to the first verification, follow-up verification and in-use inspection of lever-type mechanical balances.

3 Terms and units of measurement
3.1 Terminology
The terminology used in this procedure is consistent with the terminology of JJF1229.
The following terms.
3.1.1 Double pan balance
Balance with two weighing pans.
3.1.2 Single pan balance singlepanbalance
Mechanical balance with only one weighing pan.
3.1.3 Hanging weight dialweight
Installed inside the mechanical balance and act on the fixed lever arm, increase or decrease from the outside with the help of the weight dial system
3.1.4 Rider
A movable weight mounted on the balance beam or on a graduated scale connected to the beam.
3.1.5 chaincode chainweight
The weight of the mass value is reproduced in the form of a metal chain.
3.1.6 Differential scale subdivisionscaledivision
In electro-optical analysis balances, the indicator scale that indicates and accurately resolves the position through the optical system.
3.1.7 Subdivision reading device
The auxiliary reading device of the differential scale is used to improve the resolution of the balance display value.
3.1.8 turningpoint
In an ordinary scale balance, the position where the swing direction of the balance pointer changes during weighing.
