1 Scope
This regulation applies to the initial calibration, subsequent calibration and in-service inspection of wheel diameter measuring instruments for railway locomotives and vehicles.

3 Terminology
3.1 Contact probe
The part that contacts the rolling circle of the wheel for measurement when the railway locomotive and vehicle wheel diameter measuring device is in working condition.
