No: and definitions, as well as related technical requirements, technical indicators and inspection methods: This specification gives the standard rubber international hard
Specific calibration conditions, calibration items and calibration methods for the measurement characteristics of the scale block (N, H, L scale):
This specification is revised from Appendix 1 of JJG666-1990 "International Fixed Load Rubber Hardness Tester": with JJG666-
Compared with the:1990 Appendix, the main technical changes in this specification are as follows:
---Convert verification procedures into calibration specifications;
---The hardness tester part of the original regulations is independent of another calibration specification;
---The uniformity requirement of the standard block is changed from 1:2IRHD to 1:0IRHD:
The previous releases of this specification are as follows:

3 Overview
The international hardness of rubber is measured by measuring a steel ball indenter of a certain diameter under a small contact test force and a main test force:
The depth difference pressed into the rubber under the final action is converted into the International Rubber Hardness Unit (IRHD) and indicated:
The difference between N, H and L scales lies in the diameter of the steel ball indenter and the size of the test force: Choose the appropriate one according to the specific use:
appropriate scale: The applicable range of each scale is shown in Figure 1:
Figure 1 Applicable scope of hardness scale
X-hardness (IRHD); aL scale; bN scale; cH scale
N scale: routine hardness test: Suitable for rubber hardness in the range of (35~85) IRHD, and can also be used for hard
Rubber with a temperature in the range of (30~95) IRHD:
H scale: high hardness test: Suitable for rubber hardness in the range of (85~100) IRHD:
L scale: low hardness test: Suitable for rubber hardness in the range of (10~35) IRHD:
The standard rubber international hardness block (hereinafter referred to as the standard block) is the standard for calibrating the rubber international hardness meter:
