Replaces JJF 1184-2007.Compared with JJF 1184-2007, in addition to editorial changes, the main changes are as follows. --- Added the introduction; ---Added reference files; --- Modified the definitions of the terms mobile couple and fixed couple; --- Adjusted the technical index requirements of some supporting equipment; ---Added the schematic diagram of the location and installation of different types of thermocouple calibration furnaces; ---Added test temperature points; --- The original test method was adjusted, the micro-difference method was deleted, and the cup-type and hole-type temperature-averaging blocks were added for metal couple testing. Test methods for temperature fields of fixed furnaces, multi-stage temperature control test furnaces and low-cost metal couple test furnaces without temperature equalization blocks; --- Adjusted the calculation formula of the temperature field of the thermocouple calibration furnace; --- Adjusted the record table in the appendix; --- Added an example of uncertainty assessment for radial temperature field measurement. The previous versions of this specification are as follows. ---JJF 1184-2007. Technical Specifications for Temperature Field Test of Thermocouple Calibration Furnace

1 Scope

This specification is applicable to the temperature field test of horizontal thermocouple calibration furnace within 300℃~1500℃. Thermocouple verification/calibration of electrically controlled heating equipment that provides a uniform temperature field may be carried out in accordance with this specification.

3 Terminology

The temperature distribution of the center axis of the furnace is tested. The axial temperature field is expressed by the axial temperature gradient or axial temperature difference. The radial temperature distribution of the vertical section at the specified axial position of the furnace is measured by measuring the radial temperature of the circle with the specified diameter of the furnace. The radial temperature field is expressed by the radial temperature difference. 3.3 Fixed thermocouple A standard thermocouple fixed in a specified position and used to measure the temperature change of the calibration furnace. 3.4 movable thermocouple A standard thermocouple that moves between specified positions and is used to measure the temperature distribution in a calibration furnace.

4 Overview

Thermocouple calibration furnace (hereinafter referred to as calibration furnace) is a kind of furnace that provides uniform and stable temperature for thermocouple calibration. The electric controlled heating equipment of the field, its basic structure consists of high temperature resistant ceramic furnace tube, heating element, refractory insulation layer, shell, etc. Some calibration furnaces are also equipped with temperature control couples, temperature control systems, etc. The typical structural diagram is shown in Figure 1. See Appendix A for types and corresponding temperature distribution characteristics.
