Summary This standard prescribes metallographic examination of the matrix, porosity, graphite and other elements of the sintered metal friction material (see Appendix A) of the commonly used grades listed in JB/T 3063. This standard applies to metallographic inspection, analysis and identification of sintered metal friction materials as described in the regulations. The metallographic image in Appendix B can be used as a metallographic reference for the 10 grades of material described in the specification, and for other sintered metal friction materials.
