Summary
This standard specifies the general requirements and testing procedures that should be followed when using a pulsed longitudinal wave reflection probe and the object to be tested (raw material or parts) to perform ultrasonic testing in the coupling mode of immersion or liquid column, as shown in Figure 1. At the same time, detailed requirements are made for equipment, reference test blocks, evaluation procedures and test reports. This standard can be used as a reference for both parties to determine technical agreements, and can also be used to compile testing procedures.
