This standard specifies the lithium-ion battery charging device interface and communication protocol terminology and definitions, topologies and interfaces, communication protocols, data formats and state transitions. This standard applies to greater than or equal to 6A �� h lithium-ion battery composed of lithium-ion batteries or lithium ion battery module assembly charging equipment can also be used in nickel-based batteries and lead-acid battery charging equipment modules and assemblies and the use of cables connected to the battery module or assembly, AC rated voltage not exceeding 660V, rated voltage not exceeding 1000V DC charging equipment.
