Preface
To implement the "People's Republic of China Environmental Protection Law" to reduce the furniture products in the production and use of the process of environmental and human health
Influence, protect the environment, develop this standard.
This standard on the design and production of furniture products, products, toxic and hazardous substances put forward environmental protection requirements.
This standard has been revised to "Technical Requirements for Environmental Labeling Products" (HJ/T 303-2006). The main changes are as follows.
- Adjusted scope, terms and definitions;
- increased requirements for leather and artificial leather raw materials;
- Increased waste recovery and disposal requirements in the production process;
- Adjusted the requirements for the limited amount of hazardous substances in solvent-borne wood coatings;
- Increased limited requirements for migratable elements and phthalates in the product.

1 Scope of application
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of furniture environmental labeling products, basic requirements, technical content and inspection methods.
This standard applies to indoor furniture, including wood furniture, metal furniture, plastic furniture, soft furniture, rattan furniture, glass stone home
With other furniture and accessories.
This standard does not apply to kitchen cabinets.

4 basic requirements
4.1 The product shall comply with the requirements of the corresponding product quality and safety standards.

5 technical content
5.1 Environmental protection requirements for product design
5.1.1 Requirements for wood
5.1.1.1 Domestic wood raw materials should meet the requirements of GB/T 28951 or GB/T 28952, the import of wood raw materials should be consistent with the national timber trade

5.1.1.2 Domestic raw materials derived from natural growth should be in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Nature Reserves and the Chinese People's Republic of China

5.1.1.3 Import of wild plant species and their products (CITES) listed in the Appendix to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)

5.1.3 Requirements for plastic parts

5.1.3.2 Other materials (such as wood, metal) that impede the recovery of plastics are not added to the plastic parts.
5.1.3.3 The surface of the plastic part is not subjected to finishing treatment.
5.1.4 Requirements for glass
5.1.4.1 Glass parts should be easy to replace.
5.1.4.2 Glass free of lead.
5.1.5 Textiles with a total product quality of more than 1% shall comply with the requirements of HJ 2546.
5.1.6 The adhesive used in the product shall comply with the requirements of HJ 2541.
5.1.7 Requirements for coatings
5.1.7.1 Waterborne Wood Coatings shall comply with the requirements of HJ 2537.
5.1.7.2 Solvent-based wood coatings shall comply with HJ/T 414 requirements, including volatile organic compounds, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, halogenated

5.1.8 Leather and artificial leather used in the product shall comply with the requirements of HJ 507.
5.1.9 The internal and external exposure index of the stone used in the product shall comply with the relevant requirements of HJ/T 296.
5.1.10 Metal parts used in the product (except for small metal parts such as screws, hinges and pins), the pre-treatment process does not use

5.1.11 Requirements for resin packing

5.2 Environmental protection requirements for the production process of the product
5.2.1 The production enterprises shall collect and dispose of the waste produced.
5.2.2 product manufacturers should be sawdust and dust for effective collection and treatment, not direct emissions.
5.2.3 In the coating process, should take effective measures to collect gas, and the collection of waste gas for processing.
5.3 Environmental protection requirements for products
5.3.1 The surface coating of the product can be limited to the limits of the elements should be consistent with the requirements of Table 3.

5.3.2 Phthalates in plastic furniture (dibutyl phthalate (DBP), phenylbutyl phthalate (BBP), o

Diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP)) should not be greater than 0.1%.
5.4 Environmental protection requirements for product packaging
5.4.1 No use of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) as a blowing agent.
5.4.2 The total amount of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium shall not exceed 100 mg/kg.
5.4.3 shall be marked in accordance with GB/T 18455.
5.5 Environmental requirements for product description
The product description should include the following.
A) the quality standards and the standards under which the products are based.
B) If the furniture or accessories need to be assembled, there should be a description of the assembly instructions.
C) A different method of cleaning and maintaining the products of different materials.
D) Information on the materials used in the product and the recycling and disposal methods that are beneficial to the environment.
6 test method
6.1 Technical content 5.1.2 The test is carried out in accordance with the method specified in HJ 571.
6.2 Technical Specifications The tests of 5.1.5 and 5.1.11.1 shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in HJ 2546.
6.3 Technical content 5.1.6 The test shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in HJ 2541.
6.4 Technical content The detection of 5.1.7.1 shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in HJ 2537.
6.5 Technical Information 5.1.7.2 Determination of volatile organic compounds, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene and halogenated hydrocarbons in solvent-borne wood coatings
