Summary This standard specifies the requirements for two types, seven categories and three grades of steel wire or fabric reinforced rubber hoses and hose assemblies for dredging with nominal inside diameters from 100 to 1300. Within each category, all grades and sizes have the same maximum operating pressure. This standard applies to rubber hoses that convey or absorb seawater or fresh water mixed with mud, gravel, coral and small stones with a relative density between 1.0 and 2.3 at an ambient temperature of -20��C to +40��C. The hoses applicable to this standard are divided into the following two types: Type I, floating type, used only for transportation, including floating materials that provide buoyancy to the hose; Type II, non-floating type, used for transportation and suction.
