1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, quality requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules and identification, packaging, transportation and storage of cottonseed husks.
Claim.
This standard applies to the processing, trade, storage, transportation and use of cottonseed hull products.

3 terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Shell that has been broken and separated from cottonseed kernels.

The weight of moisture in the cottonseed hull as a percentage of the total weight.

4 Quality requirements
4.1 sensory traits

Appearance is white or off-white, no agglomeration, no mildew, no insects, no obvious flocks, and no obvious cotton seed kernels.
Odor Cottonseed husk has unique odor and no irritating odor.
No visible impurities such as obvious sediment.
4.2 Quality classification index
It is divided into three levels according to the three quality indicators of moisture, impurities, and pH, as shown in Table 2.

5 Inspection method
5.1 Sampling
Implemented in accordance with the provisions of GB 5491.
5.2 Sensory traits
Visually inspect the appearance and impurities, and smell the nose.
5.3 Determination of moisture
According to the direct drying method in GB 5009.3.
5.4 Determination of impurities
5.4.1 Principle
The impurities are separated from the cottonseed hull by screening, and the percentage of the weight of the screened impurities in the sample weight is the impurity content.
5.4.2 Instrument
5.4.2.1 Balance, Sensitivity 0.01 g;
5.4.2.2 18 mesh standard sieve.
5.4.3 Operation steps
Reduce the sample to be tested to about 500 g (accurate to 0.01 g) by the quarter method, weigh the sample M0; place the sample on a clean paper.
First sifter through an 18-mesh standard sieve, take the sieve, count it as impurities, and weigh the impurity M1 (accurate to 0.01 g). Seed kernels are not counted as impurities.
5.4.4 Calculation results
The impurity content is calculated according to formula (1).

Results Take the arithmetic mean of two independent determinations obtained under repeatability conditions, with one decimal place.
5.4.5 Precision
The absolute value of the difference between two independent determination results obtained under repeated conditions is not greater than 0.2%.
5.5 Determination of pH
5.5.1 Preparation of sample solution
Weigh a (50 ± 5) g sample with a balance with an accuracy of 0.01 g, place it in a 500 mL conical flask, add 250 mL of water,

Then, the sample was filtered with a neutral filter paper, and the pH value of the filtrate was measured immediately after the filtration.
5.5.2 Analysis method
Determined according to the method in NY/T 1377.
It is expressed as the arithmetic mean of two independent determination results obtained under repeatable conditions, and the result is rounded to one decimal place.
5.5.3 Precision
The absolute value of the difference between the two measurements obtained under repeatable conditions is not greater than 0.5.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Inspection regulations
The quality inspection department of the manufacturing enterprise shall inspect the product quality requirements batch by batch in accordance with the provisions of this standard, and issue a quality certificate.

6.2 Level determination
Take the lowest level of the three indicators of moisture, impurities, and pH as the product level.
7 Identification, packaging, transportation and storage
7.1 Identification
Labels should be on the packaging or in the accompanying documents. The main content is as follows.
a) name;
b) implementation of standard numbering;
c) manufacturing company name, trademark, address;
d) weight;
e) quality level;
f) production date.
7.2 Packaging
The packaging should be firm, without damage, the seal should be tight and even, and there should be no leakage. The surface of the packaging should be clean and free from ink contamination.

7.3 Transport
Transport vehicles should be kept dry and clean, and the packaging should be intact during transportation to prevent rain and snow from invading and being exposed to the sun.

7.4 Storage
The product should be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse.
