1 Scope
This standard specifies the establishment of seed cotton yards, fire safety of seed cotton yards, seed cotton purchase safety, seed cotton storage safety and seed cotton yard management.
Requirements.
This standard is applicable to the safety management of seed cotton yards in cotton processing enterprises and seed cotton purchasing stations.

3 Basic requirements for setting up a seed cotton yard
3.1 Qualifications shall be obtained in accordance with relevant state regulations.
3.2 The architectural design and general graphic design shall comply with the provisions of GB 50016.
3.3 The minimum straight line distance from the residential area should be greater than 500m, and a separation wall should be provided between the living area, the production area and the lint storage area.

4 Seed cotton yard fire safety
4.1 The fire safety management of the seed cotton yard shall comply with the Interim Provisions on Fire Safety Management of Cotton Processing Plants.
4.2 Fire-fighting reservoirs, underground fire-fighting water pipelines, continuous water supply facilities and fire exits shall be provided.
4.3 It shall be equipped with a reliable fire power source that is separate from the production and processing, and a matching fire water source and fire fighting equipment.
4.4 Underground cables should be used for power lines. Cables and wires should be dark, and exposed cables, wires and electrical appliances should not be directly connected with seed cotton.
There should be no joints in the middle of the contact, cable or wire.
4.5 In the seed cotton yard, the upper jaw device and the feeding device should be equipped with explosion-proof motors and explosion-proof electrical appliances.
4.6 The distance between the lighting pole and the cotton jacket should not be less than 1.5 times the height of the pole. The lighting lamps should be waterproof and explosion-proof.
4.7 Personnel entering the seed cotton yard should not be brought into matches, such as matches and lighters.
4.8 Vehicles entering the seed cotton yard should be equipped with oil-filling devices and fire-fighting devices, and enter the order according to the number issued by the yard management personnel.
