This Guidance Document specifies the types of discontinuities in test specimens for non-destructive testing.
Acoustic emission detection, infrared thermal imaging detection, strain detection and leak detection do not have to specify the type of discontinuities because of their special conditions

3 Terms and definitions
GB/T 9445-2008 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Practical examination, the applicant in the entire sample or part of the implementation of the test area.
Note. A sample can contain several non-overlapping detection areas.

The minimum number of samples for any test center is nmin, calculated from the following formula.
