Foreword
This standard is equivalent to ISO 662 use.1998 "Animal and vegetable fats moisture and volatile matter content" (in English).
For ease of use, this standard made the following editorial changes.
--- Delete ISO 662 foreword;
--- Use the "standard" instead of "this International Standard";
"." --- By decimal points instead of ISO 662 as the decimal point, "";
--- With "GB/T 15687 grease sample preparation" instead of "ISO 661.1998, Animalandvegetablefatsandoils-

This standard replaces GB/T 9696-1988 "animal fats moisture and volatile matter content."

1 Scope
This standard specifies two methods for determining animal fats in moisture and volatile matter content.
--- Method A, using a sand bath or a hot plate.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

The sample is heated at 103 ℃ ± 2 ℃, until no longer rule out the moisture and volatile matter, determine its mass loss.
5 Sampling
This standard does not specify the sampling method. Sampling method, see ISO 5555.
Laboratory sample received should be representative and not damaged or changed during transport and during storage.
6 Sample preparation
Samples were prepared in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 15687 of.
