1 Scope
GB/T 94 provisions of this part of the cone elastic gasket technical conditions.
This section applies to the following tapered elastic washers.
--- GB/T 956.3 tapered elastic washers;
--- GB/T 9074.31 tapered elastic washers for assembly.
This section can also be used for non-standard tapered elastic washers.
Note 1. Conical spring washers help to balance the preload loss due to deformation and creep in the bolt/nut assembly. Tapered washers have the following capabilities.
--- have enough flexibility to improve the connection of all the elastic side;
--- The inherent elastic force can compensate for the loss of preload, to meet the clamping force requirements, to ensure the reliability of the connection.
Note 2. If the lateral force overcomes the friction between the clamped components, a relative movement between the bolt and the nut will occur. Conical spring washers generally can not be prevented by
Loose connection due to lateral movement. Therefore, in use, check that the tapered spring washers maintain the clamping force.
