This standard replaces GB/T 9260-1988 "waterline marine paint general technical conditions."
This standard and GB/T 9260-1988 main technical differences are as follows.
--- Name changed waterline marine paint;
--- Updated test methods for existing projects;
--- Increase the appearance of the coating, drying time, impact resistance, resistance to artificial weathering requirements;
--- Scratch resistant aqueous test equipment line speed by the "32.78km/h (about 18)," raised to "38.24km/h (about 21)";
--- The product inspection is divided into the factory inspection and type testing.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the waterline marine paint requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to the outer surface of the ship hull between the load water line and light load waterline waterline paint, does not apply to water having an antifouling effect
