This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 8834-2006 "Determination of physical and mechanical properties of ropes", except for editorial changes.
As follows.
- in the scope of the provisions of the increase in the twist of the relevant instructions (see Chapter 1);

Determination of physical and mechanical properties of fiber ropes
1 Scope
This standard specifies the following method of measuring the characteristics of the rope.
---Linear density;

---elongation;
Broken strength.
The first three characteristics (line density, twist pitch, and twist distance) are the values measured by the rope under a specific tension, which is called the preload tension.
Appendix A.
The elongation is the length of the tension applied by the rope to the initial value (pre-tensioned) to 50% of the minimum rated breaking strength of the rope.
The breaking strength is the amount of the sample that is recorded (or reached) during the fracture test on the moving parts of the moving parts
Maximum load. The value of the rupture strength listed in the rope specification table is valid only when using the above type test machine.
