This standard replaces GB/T 8767-1988 "nuclear industry Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy Ingots."
This standard compared with GB/T 8767-1988, mainly in the following changes.
--- Standard name from the "nuclear industry Zirconium and Zirconium alloy ingots" to "zirconium and zirconium alloy ingots";
--- Increased Normative documents project;
--- Remove the chemical composition table ingot, references GB/T 26314 "Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy and chemical ingredients";
--- Increasing the general industrial Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy ingots requirements;
--- Increased requirements for chemical analysis methods;
--- Increased ingot packing method;
--- Increasing the contract (or purchase order) requirements;
--- The chemical composition of samples were re-specified;

This standard applies to vacuum consumable arc furnace production of zirconium and zirconium alloy ingot.

3 Requirements
3.1 Chemical composition
