This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 8130-2006 "Taihu Pig". Compared with GB/T 8130-2006, the main technical changes of this standard are as follows.
--- Deleted the entire content of "variety characteristics" (see Chapter 2 of the.2006 edition);
---Added "sources and characteristics of varieties", "physical appearance characteristics", "adult body weight and body size" (see Chapters 3, 4, and 5);
---Added "production performance", including "reproduction performance", "growth development", "finishing performance", "carcass traits" and "muscle quality" (see Chapter 6);
--- Deleted the "grade rating of breeding pigs" and "conditions for breeding pigs" (see Chapters 3 and 4 of the.2006 edition);
--- Added "Determination Method" and "Basic Requirements for Seed Use" (see Chapters 7 and 8);
---Added variety photos (see Appendix A).

This standard specifies the breed source and characteristics, body appearance characteristics, adult weight and body size, production performance, measurement methods and species of Erhualian pigs.

3 Variety sources and characteristics
The origin of Erhualian pig is the Taihu Lake Basin of the Yangtze River Delta Alluvial Plain, and the central production area is Zhenglu Town, Tianning District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province (formerly Wu
(Jiaoxi Town, Jin District), Jiangyin City, Wuxi City, Changshu City and Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City. Erhualian pig is a river-sea type local breed with high fertility
characteristic.
4 Body shape and appearance characteristics
The coat is light black, and the coat is thin, short and soft. The skin is thicker and more wrinkled, and some individuals have gray or purple-red skin on the bottom of their abdomen. Medium size, uniform structure
Weighed. The head and forehead wrinkles are clear. The mouth tube is slightly longer and slightly concave, with 2 to 3 horizontal stripes. The ears droop over the lower jaw. The middle body is slightly longer, the back and waist are slightly concave, and the abdomen
