1 Scope

This document describes a method for the determination of the melting point of petroleum wax and petroleum grease droplets. Method A in this document is suitable for the determination of the melting point of petroleum wax and petroleum grease droplets. Method B in this document is suitable for the determination of droplet melting point during the production process of petroleum wax and petroleum grease, and is not applicable to synthetic wax, animal wax and plant wax. 3 Terms and definitions

4 Principles

4.1 Method A Immerse the cooled thermometer into the sample so that the sample adheres to the mercury bulb of the thermometer.
